EFT Tapping Sequence to Develop and Enhance Personal Energy

Part 1 - The Set-Up

The Set-Up is the first part of the EFT Tapping Sequence, It is used to correct Psychological Reversal (PR), which is the energetic equivalent of self.

sabotage and is caused by subconscious negative thought patterns and limiting beliefs. Once the Set-Up has been done, we move on to the Tapping Sequence, tapping on eight different points We can get past PR by tapping on one point the Karate Chop - while repeating our "Set-Up Statement' three times.

The Set-Up Statement is designed using language that states clearly the specific issue we are addressing alongside a positive affirmation.

So you might say, for example:

"Even though I have this sadness/ depression/anger, I deeply and completely love and accept myself.' The generic affirmation used with EFT, and the one that we will use throughout this book, is "I deeply and completely love and accept myself, However, not everyone is able to say such a powerful statement initially.

If this applies to you, feel free to alter the Set-Up Statement to one that feels more comfortable for you.

Examples include: 'I am OK', 'I am good', 'I am cool', "I am open to the possibility of loving and accepting myself and "I love and accept myself, or anything else that works for you as a positive self-affirmation.

You do not have to believe it! Children might want to use a phrase such as '1 am cool' or 'I am a good kid* Check it out with them and adjust your words to suit them.

The Set-Up is a very important component of the tapping. It aligns the energy system in such a way that it can then respond to the rest of the tapping.

Something powerful happens in our subconscious mind with the juxtaposition of the negative ("I have this sadness') and the positive ("I completely love and accept myself') statements.

The combination of acknowledging the specific problem and then welcoming the possibility of self-acceptance anyway allows our systems to begin to relax and get ready to respond to the tapping. It opens up the lines of communication.
